Session guidelines
Classrooms
Presentations must be in PDF or PowerPoint format, brought on a USB device, and run using the classroom computer.
It is essential that presentations are uploaded to the classroom computer in advance of the start of the session, preferably during the previous break.
Speakers
Speakers can find the location of their assigned classroom using the provided maps (available on the website).
The total time allocated for each talk is 20 minutes, so it is recommended to prepare 15–17 minute presentations. This will allow a few minutes for questions and transitions. In any case, the session chair will manage the timing.
In invited sessions organized by SEIO working groups, session chairs will distribute time according to the guidelines provided by the group coordinator. In all cases, a minimum presentation time of 20 minutes (including questions) will be respected.
All conference attendees will have access to Wi-Fi at the conference venue.
Session Chairs
Session chairs will ensure that each session starts and ends on time, and that the order of presentations in the official program is respected.
In the event of a speaker’s absence, the scheduled timetable must be maintained to facilitate smooth transitions between sessions. Chairs will inform the organizers of any absences or incidents.
If no chair is assigned, the first speaker will assume this role. Before the session begins, chairs must ensure that all presentations are correctly uploaded to the classroom computer. During the session, they will notify speakers when 5 minutes and 1 minute remain for their presentation.
