Parameter extraction for the photovoltaic single-diode model (SDM) is a complex optimization problem. In this talk, we present the HPAQE (High-Precision Analytical Quasi-Explicit) method, a deterministic algorithm that optimizes the analytical AQE method. The AQE method requires the coordinates and slopes of four points on the I-V curve, which is difficult to obtain accurately due to experimental noise. The HPAQE method solves this in two phases. First, it uses the Adapted Mean Slope Point (A-MSP) filter to obtain initial data estimates from the measurements. Second, it applies combinatorial optimization through data perturbation: it iteratively adjusts the current and local slope of each point to mitigate noise before applying the AQE equations. With theoretical measurements, the error approaches machine precision. Empirically, it surpasses the accuracy of the TSLLS method in classic case studies and on real curves from the NREL repository.
