Ayuda a la decisión para protección de activos frente a incendios forestales
This thesis studies a variant of the Wildfire Asset Protection Problem (WAPP) arising in escaped wildfires, where direct suppression is no longer feasible and limited resources must be routed and scheduled to protect threatened assets before fire impact. The work is currently focused on the development of a mathematical formulation and on designing suitable exact and heuristic solution approaches to decide which assets to protect, which mitigation strategy to apply, and how to route a heterogeneous fleet under operational and safety constraints. The model combines capability-based cooperative service, multiple strategies per asset, time windows on both assets and road arcs, and a bi-objective structure capturing both protection reward and firefighter safety.
